tribute to Giorgio Gaber
by and with Filippo Tognazzo
music by Officina Francavilla
Far finta di essere… is a tribute to the work of Giorgio Gaber and Sandro Luporini, from the beginning of the early 1960s (with the albums Giorgio Gaber and I successi di Giorgio Gaber) to his first theatrical and television monologues in the 1970s (Il signor G, Dialogo fra un impegnato e un non so), from his reflection on the emotional and social relationships crisis in the 1980s (Parlami d’amore Mariù), to the scathing criticism of political and social vices he expressed between the 1990s and 2005 (E pensare che c’era il pensiero, Io non mi sento italiano). The musical pieces have been rearranged by Officina Francavilla in a modern key, but remain respectful of Gaber’s style.
The monologues performed by Filippo Tognazzo emphasize the theatrical aspect of Gaber’s work
